Installation fails after ssh broke down: another instance of installation...

Hi,

my ssh session was killed during the installation of intel xe 2017.
Whenever I try to start the installation again, I always get the error that another installation program has been detected (as root). What files do I need to remove to get rid of this error (message)?

Serial number for community license not working

I signed up and downloaded the Math Kernel Library 2017 for Windows under the Community Licensing. However, I get the following error message when trying to use the serial number during the installation process:

"Activation rights do not allow this software to be installed. This could be due to expired subscription or incompatible serial number."

It's possible that I installed this library once before -- on a different machine. I don't really remember. I know that I looked into installing it once, maybe back in 2014 (?) but don't know that I ever actually did.

If this is the problem, how do I "deactivate" the old copy? The machine it would have been is long gone (no longer works).

BTW: I didn't try using the licensing file trick. Let me know what to do. Thanks!

Hi,

I have a problem related very closely to the one described in this feed: https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/intel-software-development-produ.... On trying to install Parallel studio 2017 update 1 to a Windows 7 Enterprise PC, I receive the error message: 'package signature verification failed'. I have tried re-downloading the software and different versions. I have also manually downloaded and installed the certificates as recommended, and they both appear to be in the correct location, but I still receive the message. When I look at the digital signature details by right-clicking on the installation file, I am told 'The certificate is not valid for the requested range'. I see a request was made on the above feed some time ago for more detailed screenshots - would this be useful? How should I go about solving this problem?

Regsitration Center does not show all my current licenses

Hi,

I have 10 licenses for Intel Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition for Fortran Windows with Rogue Wave IMSL Version 2016. However, my account at the Registration center only shows 4 current licenses and 2 expired ones.  How do I remove the 2 expired licenses from my Registration center account and how do I make the other 6 licenses show up in the Registration center.  Each license is installed on a different pc to an individual user, I am just the license admin.

Major problems with the Update 2 installers on Windows 7 SP1

  • The "online" installer complains that it cannot contact registrationcenter.intel.com and has to be cancelled.
  • The full installer crashes when it is nearly done at the "component registration phase" leaving the software partially installed.

License type needed for CI servers

Hi all,

I've searched around for a bit but couldn't find an answer to what I assume is a simple question: what kind of license is needed to use Intel compiler in a continuous integration server that serves to run pre-deployment software tests and performance regressions? I'm specifically asking about the C++ and Fortran compiler suites, as well as the MKL/IPP/MPI libraries.

Hi,

I have 10 developers all using a named-user license on their company pcs.  What we want to do is set up 2 separate pcs for testing and we want all 10 users to be able to test on these pcs by logging into them remotely on an as needed basis.  I know we would need to buy floating licenses for these 2 products.  The information I would like is how many seats do we have to purchase and can this even be accomplished.

Parallel Studio XE 17 Installation Failing

Installation of Parallel Studio XE 17 reports the dreaded "Package signature verification failed" message.

This link https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/intel-software-development-products-download-registration-licensing/topic/604972 suggests sending screen shots of the certificates.

The computer I'm having the problem with is off the grid and getting the screen shots back to civilization would be difficult.  The software did install correctly on my internet enabled computer, which means the download was successful.  It also install correctly on another off grid computer which means the DVD is correct.

So I've attached screen shots from the successful internet enabled computer, marked them with what I'm seeing on the failed off grid computer.

All these systems are running Windows 7 Enterprise Edition.

Registration Center does not show my licenses

Dear all

I have recently received a license for Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition for Linux. I got an email with the proper serial numbers. Howver, when I enter the registration center, I do not find the place to download the software. I entered the serial numbers, and they seem to be already registered, but I cannot download anything.

Can you please help me?

Recover Intel Fortran Compiler 3-Seat License

I need to recover (be able to use it) a 3-Seat Intel Fortran Compiler License purchased late 2014.

This is the information I have dated 2015, "Mark Abbott purchased a 3-seat license for Intel Fortran late last year, but we have the same license server issue—so currently only his computer can run it.”

Mark Abbott no longer works for our company. His e-mail address was  Mark.Abbott@sce.com. At this time I don't have the license number.

Please advice what I need to do.

Trying to install intel fortran (academic license) on a new computer

I am trying to install an academic license of intel fortran for linux on a new computer in our lab. As per the download information we need not renew the license till the version 2016/ Update 3 Eng/Jpn. But we are not able to install the license file. If we try to change the MacId on license by using "Manage" button we do not see any "x" on the old computer on which fortran was installed and not able to see an activation button on the new computer. We are attaching below the screen that we see when we press manage button. Please guide how do we install the intel fortran on the new computer.

Here is the message I got:
"Thank you for your interest in the Intel® Software Development Tools.
We cannot offer you our software development tools at this time because the email address you shared does not correspond to a degree-granting academic institution. If you are with such an institution, please resubmit your request with your academic institution issued email address."
My phd institution is University of Strasbourg (France).
It is a degree-granting academic institution.

Could you please add @etu.unistra.fr is your list of degree-granting academic institutions?

A problem in installing the Intel MPI Library w_mpi_p_2017.2.187.exe under Windows 10

A problem arise when I am trying to install the last version of Intel MPI Library w_mpi_p_2017.2.187.exe under Windows 10 both on Intel i7-6950X and Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 based PC. Two screenshots are available. My license is still valid.

The older versions of Intel MPI library:  w_mpi_p_5.1.3.180.exe, w_mpi_p_2017.0.109.exe and w_mpi_p_2017.1.143.exe have been successfully installed on these PC.

Please, help me to resolve the problem.

Intel Fortran Compiler for 32-bit Windows 7 machine

I am searching for an Intel Fortran Compiler for a 32-bit Windows 7 Professional machine. I had an Intel Fortran Compiler license 6 years ago and know that an Intel Fortran Compiler exists for this machine, but is no longer available on the web. I need help to find this software.

can't install intel parallel studio 2017(sp2) with a educational license

Hello,

 

I am having problem installing intel parallel studio 2017 on Ubuntu 16.04 operation system. I am an undergraduate student and have acquired a serial number for educational purpose on intel website. But the installation program is always telling me that the serial number I provide is not valid for product Intel(R) Parallel Studio XE 2017 Update 2 for Linux*.

 

Can you help me with this problem? Thanks!

I want to install intel parallel studio on windows 10's sub linux system.

I download a student version of 2017u2, running ./install.sh, it tells me

After a google search, I figure out it could be due to missing license. So according to this page https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/how-do-i-get-a-license-file-for-an-offline-installation-of-intel-parallel-studio-xe-2016 I have to know my hostid. However, the tutorial here https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/how-to-find-the-host-id-for-the-named-user-license is not working. Because ifconfig is not functional under win 10's sub linux system. What should I do?
